Kira is a title for the person who uses Deathnote. the name “Kira” was adapted from an English word “Killer”. the first Kira is Light Yagami, a genius who is bored from his world that is filled with criminality and want to bring justice in the world. when a shinigami “ryuk”, dropped his deathnote in the human world, Light yagami took it and used it to eliminate criminals in the world and to bring justice so he can be “The God Of The New World” in the world without crime.

Other Kira use it with different purposes. Misa Amane the second Kira, she used her deathnote to attract Light yagami, eventhough light was just using her. Kyosuke Higuchi the third kira, he used Deathnote to fulfill His own desire, he could use deathnote because of Light’s plan and finally he was killed by Light. The Forth Kira was Teru Mikami, He was a man who has the same sense of justice like Light has. by using deathnote he became one of Light Succesor and His fanatism in Kira made him to call Light as a “God”or”kami”.

Actually there is one more person who can be called as a Kira. She is Kiyomi Takada, ex-girlfriend of Light when he was in college. eventhough sometime She used deathnote, she was more a representative of Kira more than The Kira itself.

Now back to “Light yagami” matter. eventhough Light used deathnote to eliminate the criminals, His action has made a controversy, world has been divided into two sides, first was the side who supports Kira, and the other was the side who stand up to Kira. This made groups like CIA and FBI were trying to catch Kira.

Maybe, the deathnote readers also have their own opinion about Kira. Personally, I don’t hate Kira that much. some of my feeling is supporting Kira. I was a little bit sad when I watched the final episode of deathnote. well, Kira’s purpose ( In this matter the “Light” Kira) was not that bad, He was just trying to eliminate criminal to bring justice.
